Phil & Barbara Kuhl Arts Pavilion

This facility is used in the summer for our free concerts in the park series hosted by the Morton Fine Arts Association. We also hold our free summer movies at the park at this location. The Arts Pavilion can also be rented for outdoor usage, which could include but not limited to, an outdoor wedding, church concert, or other approved outings from the Morton Park District. Note:

The Phil & Barbara Kuhl Arts Pavilion is operated and maintained by the Morton Park District and is available for rental by public and private groups. The rental agreement does not provide for any other sound, light or additional equipment, but does include access to the pavilion stage, use of primary stage power from outlets on buildings, use of the park area immediately adjacent to the pavilion, use of pavilion for temporary screen projections and any other uses that the Park District seems fit to approve.
RULES ON THE USE OF THE PHIL & BARBARA KUHL ARTS PAVILION
It is understood that the group or organization using the facility will comply with all the ordinances and rules set forth by the Park District and all laws of the State of Illinois and ordinances of the Village of Morton. It is understood those that rent or use the Arts Pavilion will follow these guidelines:
1. Will vacate the Arts Pavilion at the hour requested in the application. .
2. Organizations using the facility may not use it as a mailing address or storage area.
3. The person in charge or his delegated officer must be in attendance at all times
during the activity.
4. Will be responsible for supervision of their participants and for leaving the Arts Pavilion in an acceptable condition to include the taking down of all decorations and having all trash disposed of in park designated garbage cans.
5. Alcoholic beverages are PROHIBITED BY LAW on Park District property
which includes the Arts Pavilion. Violators will be prosecuted.
6. Gambling, lotteries, or raffles are not permitted (only village approved raffles may be used).
7. All proposed decorations on Park District property must be specified and
approved in the rental application.
8. NO SMOKING is permitted on Park Property
9. All activities shall be family-oriented and appropriate for attendance by any
Township member.
APPLICATION
1. Groups desiring the use of the Arts Pavilion must make formal application through the Morton Park District Office, 349 W. Birchwood on the appropriate form.
2. Rental applications will be accepted no sooner than 12 months prior to the scheduled event. Applications must be submitted at least one week prior to date requested.
3. All information requested by the Morton Park District must be submitted on the application and the Park District reserves the right to classify all organizations.
4. All rentals will be issued on a first come, first serve basis after park district activities or other community events(Morton Community Foundation or the Fine Arts Committee) have been scheduled.
5. An adult representative for all groups of minors must make application in person. A chaperone ratio of one adult per ten minors is required.
6. Proof of insurance may be required by the Morton Park District.
7. The supplying of inaccurate information in the application or violation of
Park District rules will be cause for revocation of the application.
8. The Morton Park District will not be responsible for accidents, injury, or
loss of individual’s property on park district property.
9. The Morton Park District reserves the right to deny rental or subsequent
use of any of its buildings or equipment.
