The Morton Public Swimming Pool

The Morton Park District operates the municipal swimming pool located at Idlewood Park, 450 E. Idlewood (Weather Line 263-7429, Ext.1). The Morton Pool opens on Saturday, May 23, 2026 through Sunday, August 9, 2026. Any child in diapers is required to wear a "SWIM DIAPER" in the pool. The diapers are available for purchase in the concession stand. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by a person 16 years or older.
Public Pool Hours:
DAILY 1pm-6pm
**The Morton Pool will close at 4:00pm on Thursday, July 3rd and Friday, July 4th.**
$12.00 - AGES 2 to 64,
*Only Coast Guard approved life jackets are allowed in the pool.
*Life jackets CANNOT be worn on the slides or off the diving boards.
*No coolers or outside food may be brought in during public swim hours.
*The pool WILL NOT open if temperature does not reach 70 degrees at the time of opening.
*The pool WILL NOT open during inclement weather.
*The pool WILL CLOSE due to electrical storms and low attendance.
$80.00 – ALL AGES (resident)
$160.00 – ALL AGES (non-resident)
*A $5.00 fee will be assessed for lost passes.
*Any misuse of a pass will result in the revocation of the pass and forfeiture of the pass fee.
*Pass is not transferable.
The Morton Park District offers daily admission discount coupon books for PARK DISTRICT RESIDENTS ONLY. The coupon books have 10 admission coupons and may be used during any public swim time throughout the summer. Coupon books are available at the park office located at 349 W. Birchwood, Monday-Friday from 8:30-12:00 and 1:00-5:00pm and at the Pool during open swim hours. Proof of residency is required. *CASH OR CHECK ONLY* NO CREDIT CARDS.
The Morton Pool is available for Private Group Rentals. Pool rental reservations will be available beginning Friday, May 1st. Pool rental reservations can only be made in-person at the Morton Park District Office (349 W. Birchwood St.). *Cash/Check ONLY. Rental fee amount plus a $50 refundable deposit (two separate checks) is required at the time of booking.

The Morton Pool will close at 4:00pm for Morton Otters home swim meets on the following dates:
*Tuesday, June 2nd-Time Trials
*Tuesday, June 16th
The zero-depth wading pool with aquatic playground will be open for a Toddler Time swim. The program is open to children 0-5 years of age accompanied by an adult 16 years or older. Fee for the program is $2 per participant (Participants of all ages must pay the $2 entry fee, including adults). CASH OR CHECK ONLY **SEASON PASSES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR ENTRY TO TODDLER TIME.
